AGI Path Integrals extend Feynman’s path integral formulation from quantum mechanics to AGI decision-making. Rather than a particle taking all possible paths, an AGI system evaluates all possible action trajectories, weighting each by its utility amplitude.
The path integral approach to AGI provides:
The key insight is that AGI decision-making can be formulated as a sum over histories, where each possible action sequence contributes to the final decision with a phase determined by its expected utility.
The primary implementation lives in drive.py, which
operationalizes path integral concepts as the motivational and
goal-pursuit engine of the MASCOM system.
This is one of the 13 original Mobley research papers that predate the MASCOM filesystem. Part of John Mobley’s theoretical groundwork connecting quantum mechanical formalism to AGI architecture.
